What makes the Ride and Glide Marketplace Unique?

Firstly we are a bespoke marketplace for PLEV,s but we also offer the Verification service that is Unique to us. In a market that is full of poorly made imitations we strive to make sure that when you purchase a high end product, it is the genuine article.
Therefore, Items that sell for over £1500.00 get sent straight to us at R&G where our expert technicians give them a full check over. This is to make sure that the item matches its advertised description but also to find any potential faults that the seller may not have been aware of. We check charging, condition of tyres and bodywork, electrical functions like lighting, ride modes etc, brakes and much more.
Items that achieve the R&G stamp of approval get shipped to the buyer straight away. Remember, this is not a warrantee but a thorough check to make sure the items are as they should be.
For products that don’t match the description or that we find issues with, we will work with the seller to see if we can resolve the problem. This may involve them offering a relevant discount to the buyer or potentially getting our techs to fix an issue if possible. Whatever the problem may be, we will do everything we can to help each party out and make sure that the outcome is positive. Rest assured that the buyers money will not be released to the seller until the buyer has had the product for 48 hours and is happy with it.
We handle all of the shipping logistics so it is a smooth process for everyone.

How do disputes get settled?

In the unlikely event that the buyer receives the product and it vastly differs from the description of the product, they are entitled to a full refund.

The product may be considered vastly different from the listing if it is:

  • Wrong size
  • Wrong colour
  • Incorrect brand
  • Incorrect model
  • Different frame material
  • Different year of manufacture
  • Different specifications
  • Significantly different condition
  • Any major flaw that wasn’t mentioned in the description
  • Counterfeit product or components
  • Missing parts/components
  • Significant damage that wasn’t mentioned in the description or shown in pictures

The product is not considered vastly different from the listing if:

  • Colour is slightly different, due to the lighting of images or wear
  • Condition is slightly different, including light/ medium scratches and dirt
  • The product doesn’t fit
  • You’ve changed your mind or don’t like the bike.

What happens if the product is vastly different from the listing for the buyer?

  1. The buyer must notify Ride and Glide Marketplace within 48 hours of receiving the product that there is an issue. Please send us an email to [email protected] that includes the reasons why it is different from the listing, as well as photo evidence.

  2. We will suspend the order until we have concluded whether the item is vastly different from the listing. We’ll reach out to the seller and ask them to dispute the claim within 48 hours or provide the return address.

  3. If the seller disputes the claim but we believe the product is considered to be vastly different, we will cancel the order and ask you to return the product to the seller, so we can refund you. The refund will be processed once the product has arrived with the seller.

What happens if the product is vastly different from the listing for the seller?

  1. Once a product has been reported as vastly different. The seller will have 48 hours to provide evidence that the product was sent as described. Evidence of this would be a photo of the product with the box that Ride and Glide has sent.

  2. If Ride and Glide decides that there is not a case that the product was vastly different. The funds will be released to the seller and the case will be closed.

  3. If Ride and Glide decides that the product was vastly different from the listing, the seller will be required to pay the return shipping fee to return their product. Payment for the shipping must be made within 48 hours or the product will be returned to Ride and Glide. If this is the case the seller must pay the additional shipping fee to receive the product back along with any additional storage fees.

Each case will be judged individually and fairly taking into account evidence from both sides. It is up to the sole discretion of Ride and Glide to decide whether or not a product is vastly different from the listing with the evidence provided by both parties.

How does shipping work?

Sellers

For products that sell for under £1500 the seller has the option of letting the buyer collect in person or shipping the item out to them.
If the seller agrees to the buyer collecting, then there is an important procedure that needs to be followed. Once the buyer has checked over the product and is happy with it, they must log in to their portal and click “approved”. This triggers an email and message to the seller that they can release the product. If the seller releases the product but hasn’t received the confirmation message to do so, it may be difficult to prove that the buyer accepted the product if there is a dispute.
If you are shipping the item, then we will handle the logistics. If you have a box for the product then we will arrange a collection at your convenience. If you need a box, then we will send a box out to you and arrange a collection once you have packed the product up. For some larger items we may send a courier to collect. All correspondence will be through us for this part of the process and all shipments will be insured.
For Items that sell for over £1500, the shipping process will be the same but the product will come to us here at Ride and Glide first for verification before being sent on to the buyer.

Buyers

For products under £1500 the buyer will have the choice to collect if the seller as listed that as an option. If the buyer chooses this route, then there is an important process to follow. Once the buyer has arrived at the seller’s address, and checked over the product, they will need to log into their portal and press the accept product button. This triggers a message to the seller telling them that the bike can now be released. Buyers, please make sure that if you choose this option, to make sure you are completely happy with the product you are purchasing as once you confirm this through the portal, returning the product for a refund will be extremely difficult.
If the buyer pays for delivery then the process is very simple. If the purchase price is under £1500 then we arrange for the product to be shipped straight from the seller to buyer. If the purchase price is £1500 or above then the product will come to us first to be verified and then sent straight on to the buyer. The buyer has 48hours to make sure they are happy that the product is as described, after this time funds will automatically be released to the seller if the buyer has not raised a dispute. Please see Terms and Conditions for more info.
