The 2026 Air 20 Ultra ditches the key and replaces it with an NFC unlock that has you moving in 1.7 seconds flat. No fumbling, no fuss, just tap and go. The upgraded 2.4 inch IPS display with IPX7 waterproofing keeps all your ride data clear in any weather, and the ADO app connects everything together so you can track trips, navigate and adjust settings without breaking stride. Some commuters spend longer unlocking their bike than riding it. Not anymore.

The second-generation BAFANG H730 motor delivers 50 Nm of torque, a 25% increase over the 2025 model, and the difference is immediately obvious from the first pedal stroke. The dual-sided torque sensor reads your input from both sides of the crank and responds with smooth, natural assist that feels less like a motor helping you and more like you having a genuinely excellent day. Three automatic gear changes happen seamlessly in the background, so you never have to think about what gear you’re in, just where you’re going.

The carbon belt drive on the Air 20 Ultra doesn’t need oiling, adjusting or thinking about. It runs quietly, cleanly and smoothly for tens of thousands of kilometres without ever leaving a mark on your trousers, which on a commuter bike is worth more than most people realise until the first time it saves them. Paired with a 37V 10Ah battery delivering up to 100km of assisted range and a 4 to 6 hour charge time, this is the kind of setup that fits neatly into real life without asking anything complicated of you.

The 2026 model steps up to IPX6 waterproofing on the frame and IPX7 on the display, meaning proper rain, puddles, and the general enthusiasm of a UK winter are no longer a reason to leave the bike at home. The lockout suspension fork soaks up urban road surfaces without drama, TEKTRO hydraulic disc brakes deliver consistent stopping power in wet or dry conditions, and the fully integrated lighting keeps you visible front and rear without adding bulk to the frame. It’s the kind of bike that was clearly designed by someone who has actually ridden in a city.

Three-segment folding frame, magnetic locking system, 22kg. The Air 20 Ultra folds down quickly enough that you won’t feel self conscious doing it at a train station, and light enough that carrying it up a flight of stairs doesn’t require a pre-ride warm up. The MIK-compatible aluminium rear rack supports up to 25kg of cargo, the AQS 2.0 quick-release system lets you swap accessories without tools, and the folding pedals mean the whole package tucks away into a genuinely compact footprint. It’s a folding electric bike that actually works as a folding electric bike, which sounds obvious until you’ve tried the ones that don’t.

20-inch reflective sidewall tyres improve visibility after dark without changing how the bike looks or rides. Folding pedals save space when stored. An anti-theft battery lock clip keeps the 37V pack secure. Aluminium mudguards are fitted as standard rather than sold separately. A 5V USB Type-C charging port sits ready for your phone when it needs it most. None of these are headline features, but together they add up to a bike that was clearly thought through properly, not just specced and shipped. Some say the details don’t matter. Those people haven’t ridden an Air 20 Ultra yet.
