Breaks and regen button ect are too far apart, fenders don't cover the hole wheel and leave dirt all over the scooter, and I've been getting alot of stem noise, other than that it's a perfect product
After riding a Pure Air scooter to work with a top speed of 15mph the last 3 years I decided I wanted something with a bit more punch. This Apollo City is an absolute rocket... The torque and top speed is crazy good on this thing. The dual suspension feels really nice and even when ripping at 30+ mph speeds the scooter feels really stable.
The price is a bit on the expensive side no doubt, but once you get it in your hands you understand just why that is. Absolute heaps of fun and I don’t regret my decision at all. Completely exceeded everyone of my expectations!
Be warned that if you’re coming from one of these 15mph scooters that this ride is quite the bit larger. My old Pure Air looks like a child’s toy parked next to the Apollo City 💪
I used to have a Ducatti Scrambler and realised very quickly how poorly made it was and decided on something a bit better.
This scooter has excellent build quality - it doesn't squeak or rattle (over 6 months use now). The power from both front and rear motors pushes me and my partner up a 20% hill for over 1km no problem. That's a combined weight of 125kg - more than what I think it mentions - and up a hill. It's far far better than the Ducatti at that and doesn't suffer huge power loss either after a use or three.
I'm also a big fan of the suspension dealing with the awful roads we currently have and the forgiving tyres.
The regen braking system is excellent - still don't think I've ever used the manual brakes.
Overall this is easily a 5/5, although I do recommend improvements:
1. For me, the handlebars are too high and too wide, which makes popping to a shop not all that possible. It's more a commuting scooter for mid-range distances. The handlebars should be narrower and it means it fits into your car more easily.
2. The cable obstruct the front light. Not a major problem, but a niggle.
3. I wish you could e-lock the scooter when it's turned off. But that may not be possible?
4. I just got a flat tyre - and it's flat. But I have had to deal with many bumps and awful roads.
I may look for another scooter that has slightly less power, less weight and is more compact - Ride and Glide is a great place to visit.
I've just purchased a Citypro 23 model was really looking forward to using it for getting to work and back the build quality front and rear lights even with turn signals amazing but why is it advertised that I'll do 34.5mph? But on the app it'll do 37mph in reality it's set by default it's limited to 12mph.!
Way to slow i might as well walk I've tried resetting the app several times, it says don't use the advanced settings only use the scooter app while connected so try all sorts changed the speed in sport, eco and comfort modes in lowest speed to the max speed still sits there at 12mph.
l've found some information that most scooters that are sold to European market default speed limit now 12mph-20kph this speed limit is in advanced settings on the app showing you in Gray saying top speed 12mph/20kph i cannot change it.
Doesn't say anything about you must down load an app to use it to get the higher tops speeds out of it and the app is horrible my pin number 80% of the time is wrong, don't know wot to do now with but sell it, this is false advertising in my eyes.

The scooter can be easily de-restricted in the app and once set will be remembered so you should only need to do it once.
