A guide to the Onewheel Pint

June 30, 2019

The Pint is the latest model in the Onewheel range of electric skateboards and despite it’s smaller size, is just as fun to ride as its bigger brothers (the Onewheel+ and the Onewheel XR).

In this guide we take a look at the specifications for it, plus give you more information about this small, but powerful ride.

What is the Pint?

The Pint is the new electric skateboard from Californian manufacturers Onewheel. It features a single large wheel at the centre of a deck with front and back pads. The pads contain the technology that allows you to accelerate (lean forward on the front pad) or brake (lean back on the back pad) with ease.

And just like the Plus and XR models, the Pint is designed to be ridden on a variety of surfaces – from smooth tarmac to offroad grass, gravel and more.

Other features include:

Intelligent lighting – built-in lighting in the front and back switches direction when the rider does. There’s also a Lightbar integrated in the front pad which provides battery monitoring and in-ride alerts

Simplestop dismount technology – great for new riders as it helps them to stop and get off with confidence and ease

Maghandle – this integrated carry handle allows you to grab it and go

Onewheel App – for both iOS and Android devices, the app connects via Bluetooth and allows you to monitor stats such as battery levels, distance travelled and top speeds, plus adjust your ride modes

The Pint vs the XR

This is how the Pint stacks up against the XR:

Length – the Pint is smaller than the XR, measuring 8.75in x 10.5in 27in (222cm x 266cm x 689mm), compared to the dimensions of 9.5in x 11.5in x 29.5in (241mm x 292mm x 750mm)

Weight – the Pint weighs 23lbs and the XR weighs 27lbs

Top speed – the Pint has a top speed of 16mph, with the XR having one of 19mph

Range – you will get between 6-8 miles form full charge with the Pint, compared to 12-18 miles with the XR

Charge time – a full charge of the Pint has a recharge time of 120 minutes for the Pint and the XR’s is 60 minutes

As well as offering an amazing ride in a smaller package, the Pint is almost half the price of the XR, making it a really affordable electric skateboard with high-end specs.
