If you are a regular rider and are covering 3+ miles, 5 or more times per week then a service every 3 months or so would be advised. If you just like to cruise short distances every now and again then a service every 9-12 months should be adequate. These figures are just a guide and will vary depending on how hard you ride and what electric vehicle model you own.

Why do I need a service?

A lot of electric products are fast and potentially dangerous, so should always be checked by the rider thoroughly before each ride. Nuts and bolts can come loose, tyres can be worn or damaged and lights etc can blow, so a quick pre-ride check can save a lot of hassle and potentially serious injury. Additionally, more in depth checks should be carried out periodically to ensure the smooth running of your vehicle. These can include brake adjustments and bleeding, headset servicing, chain lubrication, tyre and rim checks etc depending on the condition of your vehicle and how thorough you want to be.
